Identification

Omega and Smeg dishwashers manufactured between November 1998 and May 2003, with a 9 digit serial number ending in 0, 1, 2, 3, 8, or 9 are affected.

Safety issue

A plastic coated capacitor fitted to the dishwasher has the potential to overheat, leading to failure and possible smoke, water and heat damage.
